Darwin Project entered the world of video games in a fortunate period for the battle royale genre, but, precisely for this reason, already saturated and which had already channeled millions of players to other titles.
Well, the developer of the game, Scavengers, has issued a statement in which the community is involved in a very important decision: the team will soon stop updating the Darwin Project, decreeing its end.
That of April was the last update, the servers will remain online until the end of 2020, only to be "shut down".
In the official blog, it is reported that the development team has struggled over the years to make Darwin Project competitive, but that in the end all efforts proved in vain. The battle royale has received several updates in recent months such as new maps, a system of classes, live events, it was also ported to PS4, denoting the commitment of the whole team and the love for the project.
Despite these continuous optimizations, the Darwin project has seen one progressive loss of players no longer interested in the offer proposed by the title of Scavengers or simply more enticed to play other products of that genre.
Simon Darveau e Amelie Lamarche they also thanked all the fans who continued to give feedback to improve the game:
