Dragon Ball Z: is Kakarot multiplayer? | Do you have a cooperative?

To quickly answer the question, "is Dragon Ball Z Kakarot multiplayer?" No. There is currently no multiplayer of any kind in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. It is a single player game. As an action RPG, it should come as a little shock that there isn't any kind of multiplayer offering. As a Dragon Ball Z game, however, the exclusion of any kind of multiplayer mode can come as a surprise.

Typically, when people think of Dragon Ball Z games, they think of fighting titles. Recent releases like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, for example, offer both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. It makes sense that many of you are wondering if there is any kind of multiplayer or cooperative in Kakarot.

With no multiplayer or co-op to speak of, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is a single player game. This, as stated above, makes sense for an RPG. This is a long single-player DBZ experience you get lost in, not a game to play with your friends. Combat is simplified compared to those like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2, so PvP wouldn't be as fun as either game.

Who knows, though? Perhaps multiplayer will be added to the game at some point. There is no hint of multiplayer in the game at its launch, but the developers may decide to add a mode or two as DLC at some point further down the snake road.
