Call of Duty: does the new episode suffer from its cross-gen nature?

According to insider Tom Henderson, the developers would be in dire straits, ed game performance is likely to be very "slowed". The news comes after what the rival would like Battlefield 6 only expected for PC and next generation consoles.

A situation that, however, could offer a game with less than optimal performance to all those who buy WW2 Vanguard on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (which are not few, considering the limited availability of next-gen consoles, especially PS5).

The scarce availability of next-gen devices and the fact that video games run more difficult on current devices has created in the recent past an unpleasant situation and a real debate on the beginning of this generation. That Vanguard be its next "victim"?
