Santa Monica Studio working on a new project?

Something is cooking in the Santa Monica Studio offices.

The software house that produced all the chapters of the famous God of War saga is working on a new title according to a job advertisement posted on its official Twitter page.

Santa Monica Studio made it known that he was looking for a art director, that is a figure able to manage and keep an eye on the artistic sector of the game in its entirety, giving coherence and unique style to a production made with the talents of hundreds of different artists.

Most likely the software house will produce a new IP but other roads are not to be excluded such as a possible spin-off of the Kratos saga with a different protagonist at the center. The sought-after art director must already have previous experience in large studios and will work closely with the producer and game designer to create the aesthetics of the new title. Given these requirements, we are likely to speak of a Triple-A.

It is quite rare to see a Sony software house working on two distinct projects as, until now, each studio has dedicated itself to one project at a time. This means that Sony intends to push its exclusive stock portfolio as much as possible.

These rumors are confirmed by VG247 which brings back other large Playstation studios in search of new human resources, such as Sony San Diego Studio who seems to be involved in a mysterious project that expands the franchise of a very famous Triple A action-adventure.

ResetEra fans went wild thinking about Uncharted 5 and N, for its part, is preparing for something new after the sensational success of The Last of Us Part II.
