Command & Conquer: EA releases the source code of two historical games in the series

    Two of the most important episodes of Command & Conquer they are returning to one new remastered expected in early June, but another news is added to this news. Yesterday evening Electronic Arts to want to release the source code of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, that is the two titles included in the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection.

    To communicate it through a post on the official EA blog is Jim Vessella, head of the project, who said that the production will release a series of Open source DDL under GPL license to facilitate the creation of new maps, new units and to allow modders to make graphical improvements to the game.



    “Our goal was to provide the source code in a way that would have been useful to the community. " wrote Vessella. “We hope this will enable you to carry out fantastic projects for years to come".

    All tools will be released through Steam and Origin, EA's proprietary launcher.
