Dino De Matteo, promoter of comics in Naples, leaves us

The night between Tuesday and Wednesday leaves us Dino De Matteo, one of the greatest reference points for all comic book lovers in the Campania region.

Its story begins in the 90s with its comic shop Infinity Shop in Via Cisterna dell'Olio. Right there with his friend Claudio Curcio the idea was born of an exhibition dedicated to comics which later became the Naples Comicon, today one of the largest and most important fairs in Italy.

The younger ones, however, will surely know him at the helm of the staff of Alastor Napoli in Via Mezzocannone where for years he has gathered not only comics fans but also Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer and everything related to the Nerd world.

The news shocked the members of the editorial team as well as authors and clients:

He knew, when I wanted to see an action figure he was always ready to show me the conditions of the boxes… It was the symbol of the Alastor.

    -Alessandra, editor of WelcomeGaming.com

It was the epitome of kindness and friendliness

The tribute from the authors of Pulcinell.

I remember when me and the guys on the team came to Alastor to ask if we could sell copies in your shop and you enthusiastically accepted the idea. You were one of the very few who believed in it and helped us in the project.

-Mauro "Emme" Forte and the staff of Pulcinell

From the entire editorial staff a heartfelt embrace to the family and friends of Dino and with the words of Mercy of Overwatch we tell you that

    "Heroes never die ..."
