Do you remember Driver? The historic car racing series that allowed you to shoot in free roaming for various cities of the world and be protagonists of spectacular pursuits had to wait until 2020 for the sequel, the lucky Driver 2, to land on PC as well.
The first chapter of Driver was a critical and public success, coming out on various platforms. The second chapter, Driver 2: Back on The Street, only came out on Playstation. From today, thanks to the commitment of a fan, Soapy Man, the open source project is available ReDriver 2.
Driver 2 had its own version for Game Boy Advance but, considering the nature of the small Nintendo console, it is not technically correct to speak of multiplatform, being a title, compared to the one released on PS1, quite different precisely because of the hardware limitations of the small Nintendo console.
The project consists of a PC port developed through the reverse engineering on the original game released twenty years ago, in 2000. This allows the game to run directly on the PC and not through the use of any emulator.
