Guess what? Someone entered the Suez block in Flight Simulator

Ever given, the container ship currently blocked in the Suez Canal with incredible damage to world trade, it quickly became hugely popular on the internet thanks to memes and other ironic images. It didn't take long for someone to even plug it into Microsoft Flight Simulator, which as known uses a fantastic technology that allows insert real aerial photos into game maps, in order to make parts of them.

Mat Veloso, technical advisor to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, re-shared a TikTok video of the locked ship seen in Flight Simulator. The original video was posted by TikTok user donut_enforcement.

The scene is truly gorgeous and fun, and the pilot's comment is exhilarating:

“If you look to your left, we will see the Suez Canal. This is where most of our world trade and cargo ships go through. (...) Oh, damn. They seem to have a big problem ”.

    Ops…

Ever Given, which has been blocked in the Suez Canal for five days (but it seems that the situation is being resolved), does not currently appear in the standard version of the game, which is based on satellite images but is not updated daily. However, you can add it to the game via this add-on (link here).

What can I say ... at least we can laugh about it!
