Hot Wheels Unleashed is coming on September 30th but Mattel e Milestone have already announced their plans for the upcoming additional content planned for the title.
A screaming collection
Some time ago we had already been announced the presence of collaborations with third-party brands with a trailer that showed us some examples such as DeLorean, Snoopy, Ninja Turtles and real brands such as Fiat and Aston Martin.
The arrival of DLCs dedicated to other Mattel products such as Barbie or He Man was almost taken for granted, but Street Fighter and DC comics heroes are also among the logos of the published roadmap. Given that many of these collaborations have already occurred in the past with regard to the physical version of the famous toy cars, it is therefore not difficult to imagine the arrival of many digital transpositions of models already seen on store shelves.
Individual items with monthly releases, expansions and racing seasons are therefore scheduled. Finally, three thematic passes are planned that collect single objects and expansions in a bundle. The Hot Wheels pass vol. 1 will be available at launch and will include Barbie, Ninja Turtles, DC and Street Fighter themed content as well as three customization packs, three track editor modules and a special Batman-themed expansion.
The prices of these DLCs have not yet been disclosed, we will probably have to wait for the game to find out.
