In the last week I got to get mad with playing The Elder Scrolls Online taking advantage of theESO More, that is, the monthly premium subscription, without having to shell out a penny.
Yeah, why ZeniMax Studios e Bethesda Softworks they decided to give us one free trial dell 'ESO More, as we announced not long ago. Everyone has been offered the opportunity to have all the advantages of the Plus, su all platforms, For seven days and title completely free, and believe me: the advantages are not few.
What is ESO Plus, and what does it offer us?
Normally to play The Elder Scroll Online we have to buy the base game, or the latest expansion that also includes the original version, and then every single expansion we want to add to our pack.
These are pearls like Elsweyr and the future Greymoor, so yes, we can very well enjoy the ton of content from the base game, including all of theThe Planemeld narrative arc, but i DLC introduce new areas, new classes and above all, lots of single-player quests, as well as various group activities.
So what do we do? Do we buy one DLC after another, one expansion after another, one dungeon pack after another? No, we just have to buy the base game (or the latest expansion + base game) and then subscribe to theESO More, and we will have access to all past, present and future DLCs, as long as we renew the subscription.
The package obviously includes the areas, the dungeon, quest, the delve (dungeon in solo, in a nutshell) i world event and various activities properly from MMORPGs, such as dungeon, RAID and similar.
All The Elder Scrolls Online expansions and DLCs
For convenience, and to clarify, I will list below the DLC that we unlock automatically by activating theESO More, and I will link on each title our review, our tests or in any case a collection of information about each title:
- Imperial City (PvP);
- Orsinius (at the end of which the narrative arc begins The Daedric Wars);
- Thieves Guild (adds a new area, Hew’s Bane);
- Dark Brotherhood (introduces the area of the Gold Coast);
- Shadows of the Hist (dungeon pack);
- Morrowind (go on The Daedric Wars);
- Horns of the Reach (dungeon pack);
- Clockwork City (goes on The Daedric Wars);
- Dragon Bones (dungeon pack);
- Summerset (with which it ends The Daedric Wars);
- Wolfhunter (dungeon pack);
- Murkmire (adds the homonymous area, linked to the Argonians);
- Wrathstone (dungeon pack, start The Season of the Dragon);
- Scalebreaker (another dungeon pack by The Season of the Dragon);
- Dragonhold (with the ending of The Season of the Dragon);
- Harrowstorm (dungeon pack that kicks off The Dark Heart of Skyrim).
Currently it goes purchased separately expansion Elsweyr, part of The Season of the Dragon, which takes place between the DLCs Wrathstone e Scalebreaker and that, as in the cases of expansion pack previous, also includes the base game.
To this list will be added future DLCs and upcoming expansions, such as the highly anticipated Greymoor, which was originally supposed to be published on May 18 for PC and Mac, and the 2 June for Xbox One and PlayStation 4; due to the difficulties created by the pandemic, unfortunately, the launch was postponed to May 26 for PC and al 9 June for consoles.
As usual, with the release of this expansion too Elsweyr should be part of the list of DLCs included in theESO More: at that point it will be enough to buy directly Greymoor and subscribe to have all the contents of the game at our disposal.
Al end of the free period test, of course, we will lose access both to the DLCs that we have not purchased separately, and, unfortunately, to the other perks included in the premium subscription.
The other benefits of ESO Plus
Quest 'huge amount of content, however, it is not the main reason that would push a player like me to subscribe to theESO More. The DLCs are sold separately, and the difference between a small but constant expense and a more important but occasional one is not such as to induce me to cry out for miraculous savings.
The focal point of the Plus, on the other hand, is the absolute increased quality of life within the game: always inventory management is one of the main problems of The Elder Scrolls Online, as I wrote in many of my reviews on this MMORPG, and theESO More goes to eliminate the problem at the root, with a clean and absolutely necessary cut.
The Craft Bag, the light of my compulsive looter eyes
Normally every thirty or forty minutes of play I spend about ten a empty bags, sell the useless loot for crafting purposes, obtain components from received objects, improve and enchant any more powerful pieces of equipment than those currently in use on the PG and so on, and above all to manage the incredible amount of materialthe scrapped around, such as metals, lumber, fabrics, ingredients, etc.
With the ESO Plus, however, all these materials automatically end up in a special bag, la Craft Bag, shared among all the characters of the account, which has an unlimited capacity; moreover, the materials are collected and deposited by the crafting system without our intervention: we do not even notice it.
We realize, however, that the need to return to the city arises not after half an hour of play but after hours and hours, if desired, because in the limited inventory of the PG no materials accumulate and we can finally focus on enjoying the history and exploration, rather than the micro-managing of the stock exchanges and the bank.
More space in the bank and at home, among other things
In addition to access to the DLC and Craft Bagmoreover, theESO More makes us double the space available in the bank, obviously for each character in our account, and moreover, multiply the space available for them by two furnishings in the Player Housing system di The Elder Scrolls Online.
We also get a bonus to experience acquired andoro lootato, as well as a boost to the Crafting Ispiration, that is, the speed with which professions are skilled, and the very long and often tedious search for Craftable traits, which can take up to one month (one month!) for each section.
Doubling the maximum limit of Transmute Crystal accumulable, that is the end-game currency that allows us to change the Traits of our equipment, and even the possibility of coloring the Costumes in addition to the normal outfits of the Appearance of the game, are just the proverbial icing on the rich cake ofESO More.
Beyond the trial: are we back to normal?
Outside the trial period, i.e. by normally signing theIT Plus, they are also obtained 1650 crown per month, which are the premium currency with which to purchase cosmetic items, mounts, DLCs and more in the Crown Store. You also receive a variety Special occasions reserved for subscribers, such as offers and promotions for the purchase of houses, colors, DLCs, quest starters, etc.
As far as I'm concerned, this free trial period it took me to areas that I had previously ignored due to lack of time, as I didn't have to spend a good percentage of the game hours sorting out inventory.
More than anything else, however, I was able to access restricted areas, such as the homeland of the orcs, Wrothgar, exclusive to the DLC Orsinius.
Why right there? Because it is in those misty wastes that there is crafting station for the equipment set I needed, the Law of Julianos, which greatly strengthened my poor Templar, which I put through all kinds of stresses to test the contents of The Elder Scrolls Online.
Above all else, this trial highlighted how the Craft Bag is an element that should not be missing in every player's arsenal: four fifths of the problems of quality of life vanish into thin air, and so the real strength of ESO, the immersiveness of the quests and the exploration ofimmense lore of The Elder Scrolls, can finally return to shine as it deserves.
