It looks like Dead Island 2 will arrive (sooner or later) on PS5 and Xbox Series

Dead Island 2 was announced nearly 7 years ago and we have yet to see anything other than its trailer.

The latter objectively promised good things but it seems obvious enough that something went wrong with the development, given the sudden change of developers. The last to take care of the game are the guys from Dambusters Studio who, however, did not know much about what will become of the title in the near future.

Even the publisher seems to be of the same idea and insistently repeats that the game is still on the way, regardless of the development problems we mentioned earlier.

Dead Island makes the change of generation

To slightly change the cards on the table is an information published on Twitter by the analyst MauroNL.

According to a new announcement published by Dambusters, the company is working on an AAA title for next-generation consoles and the PC world. The software house seems to be looking for a manufacturer, specifically.

Dead Island 2 is not mentioned in any of the announcements but it is enough to do the math to understand that you cannot go further. There are no other games the company appears to have been involved in recently.

In the past, the job advertisements related to the gaming world to be mentioned were both the consoles of the eighth generation and, perhaps, those of the ninth. This specific announcement seems to mention only this very latest videogame generation, thus marking a break with what happened.

Clearly at the moment there is no data to theorize about anything but considering that the development has been, de facto, restarted during the course of 2019 it is widely difficult that before a couple of years something concrete will be seen on the title.
This would confirm the current platforms, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, like those giuste per Dead Island 2

NDR: Dambusters Studios is not a very well known name in the world of video games. The most famous titles they have made belong to the Homefront brand (and that says a lot, in a way) but there is something worth knowing. During the sixth generation of gaming, the guys from Dambusters developed the saga of Timesplitters with the name of Free Radical.
Impossible not to cheer for them after such information.
