PlayStation Trophies are about to change - here's how

    Change of gen, change of console and, apparently, also trophy rank change for PlayStation: Sony has announced starting today the player progression system within the Sony gaming ecosystem will undergo some variation.

    It was the same company to announce it through PlayStation Blog: starting today, with the next update, the trophies will no longer go from 1 to 100, as for years now, but from 1 to 999.



    This means that if you are level 12, you will soon go straight to level 202 or thereabouts. The transition will be automatic, so don't worry, you won't run the risk of losing something on the way.

    Within the new system, the level will depend on the number of trophies earned and their type, in order to offer a more precise classification.

    According to Sony, the goal of the new system is that of offer the player a more fulfilling and rewarding experience, especially as regards the value given to Platinum trophies.

    In generale, assicura PlayStation, the player will be able to monitor his results more closely and keep track of them, a feature that will be best implemented on PlayStation 5.
