PS5's dualsense seems to suffer from analog drift

Bad news is never lacking in the world of video games and otherwise.

It looks just like the Playstation 5, the much chatted Dualense, has drifting problems similar to those that sadly made Nintendo's joycons famous.

Wanting to be precise there is something to say: it is not the first time this has happened and already ten days after the console's release on the shelves some players complained about this problem on the various social networks. However, the thing does not seem to stop in any way and has been put in the spotlight by various American newspapers such as Kotaku o Gamesindustry.biz

Dualsense drifting: what we know

What is drifting?
Drifting is a technical problem that has often been talked about in the world of video games and basically consists of an incorrect reception, by the joypad chips, of the analog position. The latter in fact, even if it is not touched in any way, sends a signal to the chip indicating that it is moving; this in game is reflected in involuntary movements of the cursor on the screen, which could anger any first person shooter player.

Below, for example, we find the case of a player whose right analog does not behave as it should drift to the left. His Destiny 2 games will clearly never be the same again.

How is this problem addressed?
Sony customer support communicated a Kotaku that the controller drift is covered by the console warranty. The part that is a little angry is that it is necessary pay the postage by yourself if you want to send the controller to the repair center.

Over the last few years we have heard more and more often about analog drift problems. Of all the companies the most affected was certainly Nintendo than in the sole Europe had to received over twenty five thousand complaints, numbers so high that even the European Commission moved.

More collective actions were presented both in Canada and in the United States of America, as if that were not enough.

Also Microsoft she is involved in this kind of issue for a class-action action presented last year. The latter was about controllers Xbox One having problems with analog sticks.

Sony has recently been contacted by various American newspapers, but they have not yet received a response.
