    A FIST IN THE STOMACH AND A DIVE IN THE HEART

    After downloading a large corrective patch (over six hundred megs), our adventure will begin in the new world created by Insomniac for Resistance 3. Compared to the past, the plot has matured, now the game is decidedly more raw and violent. The first hours will exhaust us in the soul and the following ones will begin to make us dream of an ending that we could never expect before. The story is really able to touch us in some moments, to feel the feelings experienced by our alter ego, to stop and think and understand that the Resistance is not just a word that indicates a group, but a sensation, a feeling, a force. that comes from inside and makes you scream the desire you have to live. Suddenly, however, all the magic that this story is able to give begins to fade. Slowly we will begin to notice some gaps, at first unimportant and then ever wider until we reach an ending, which we regret having to say, has disappointed us very much. The impression is that the guys from Insomniac worked hard up to a certain point and then, perhaps for lack of ideas or to respect dates that it would have been better to postpone, they went in a hurry, concluding everything without deepening and taking care of how they had done. for the rest of the story.



    From the point of view of the gameplay then there are great news and some returns that may or may not like depending on your tastes. The feeling with the weapons on the battlefield is better than in the previous chapters, this is because while maintaining the exact same command system, the weapons are now handled differently and the wheel returns as a method of weapon selection, which we will allow us to carry a real arsenal and not just a couple of weapons to be changed on the field as soon as they are unloaded. The management of weapons then changed through a system that we can define as worthy of a GDR. Each time we use any firearm we will raise an experience counter which, by reaching specific goals, will allow us to improve the weapon in our possession. In other words, every weapon in the game can be improved, a simple gun for example can turn into a weapon that fires small remote explosive charges that we can detonate at will - obviously the correct tactic is to detonate the charge when the enemy is he will approach his companions. But this is just one of the countless upgrades that we will be able to obtain, others are tracer bullets, increased magazines, exaggerated calibers and much, much more. Like us, however, the Chimera also have a new and powerful arsenal to use to kill us and here among the most dangerous are the rifles capable of penetrating the walls. This weapon is a real thorn in the side because it forces the player to constantly change the point of cover. After a pause title, the use of medkits to recover energy returns, a feature that significantly increases the difficulty in combat - it must be said, however, that it is enough to be logical to never have too many problems, in fact our enemies are always loaded of medical kits that we can collect and use.
