Review: Ruya

Dreamy atmosphere, delicate and calm music, captivating graphics, are all the elements that enrich Ruya, recently released by Miracle tea Studios and available on the App store at a price of 1,09 euros. Ruya is a puzzle game characterized by well-kept and cute graphics, playing it is like entering a fairy and dreamlike world, in which we will also be able to appreciate a sweet and moving story.

Gameplay

The game opens with an adorable black and white opening cutscene, which reveals itself despite the initial, melancholy positivity. Entering into Ruya's dream world we will be able to solve the puzzles simply by joining together the characters of the same color, from time to time the type of combination necessary to move forward will be indicated above, together with the number of moves available. If at the beginning the game may seem very simple (helping us even in case of lack of necessary moves) already going into the second world we will no longer receive help, and the game becomes more and more difficult as the story continues.

Review: Ruya

There are 8 explorable worlds and each of them has many scenarios to solve inside. The game is quite long-lived, it will take you several hours of gameplay before completing all 64 available puzzles. The actions that can be performed are different and all illustrated during the first world, if at first it may seem difficult to understand how to play, everything will be made much easier by the tutorials available.

Graphics

The graphic aspect is, of course, what strikes the most: the soft and nocturnal colors, the wooded landscape characterized by the tender colored characters, Ruya which is sprinkled with pastel-colored flowers, make the atmosphere extremely relaxing and cute. All the elements have been treated a lot, even the same elements of the puzzle are presented with a simple, adorable and effective design, making the game much more graphically rich than all the other puzzle games I have had the opportunity to play. As we progress in the game we will have the opportunity to see many videos that will enrich, with their simplicity, the game.

Music

Another well-kept aspect is the sound sector, we hardly find a similar attention to the musical aspect in a puzzle game! The suggestive atmosphere inspires tranquility. The rain, the snow, the wind, all the natural sounds have been reworked for the sound sector making the whole setting very fascinating. Although the game may reserve you some surprises in terms of difficulty, the sweet music will make you savor a moment of pure relaxation.

final Thoughts

I have had the opportunity to try several puzzle games over the last few years, especially for mobile, but I must say that Ruya was a very pleasant surprise! The well-kept and delicate graphics, the moving and melancholy story, the light and suggestive music greatly enrich this game, making it profoundly different from the classic puzzle games we are used to, without however upsetting the genre.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, Ruya is available on iOS devices at the modest price of 1,09 euros, a great price considering the graphics and sound quality of the game.

If you are a big fan of puzzle games and are looking for a game conveniently available on your mobile and with a relaxing atmosphere, this game is absolutely for you.
