The creator of Uncharted is working on a new Marvel game

It's a good time for games set in the Marvel universe, and it will be in the future as well. In recent years, we've seen a surge in gaming products with the same ambition as cine-comics. Marvel's Avengers did not hit the mark, it must be said, especially for its game as a service nature not supported by memorable content, while Guardians of the Galaxy it turned out to be a big surprise for many, watched with distrust by those who were burned by Avengers.

Insomniac, on the other hand, is hard at work Spider-Man 2 e Wolverine, both featured recently at a Sony event. Well, a new Marvel title is in the works and can boast an important name in the industry: Amy Hennig, creator, among other things, of the first Uncharted trilogy.

In 2019, Amy announced she was working on an AAA with Skydance media, the latter has revealed only now that the title in question will be set in the Marvel universe, after having entered into a collaboration with the American giant.

Not many other details have been disclosed, a date is not known and above all it is not yet known who will be or will be the superhero protagonists adventure. The game will presumably be more wine in Guardians of the Galaxy than in Avengers, fortunately, as it has been described as a "story-driven action-adventure". Considering then that Hennig, as we said before, is the author of one of the best action-adventure sagas of the last generations, we are confident that it can be a title really focused on the single player, without multi “contamination”.

The video game author also stated that the Marvel stories are close to her vision of an interactive experience:

The Marvel Universe embodies all the action, mystery and thrill of the pulp adventure genre that I love and lends itself perfectly to an interactive experience. It is an honor to be able to tell an original story with all the humanity, complexity and humor that make Marvel characters so enduring and allow our players to embody these heroes they love.

In addition to Hennig, Skydance has the experience of an EA veteran, the executive producer Julian Beak, engaged over the years in very important franchises such as Battlefield and Need for Speed. In addition, the same studio has worked in the past in film production on highly successful works, namely Mission: Impossible, Star Trek and Top Gun: Maverick.
