The new expansion of The Sims 4: University Life! New careers, new clothing, a new neighborhood to live in! Find out the main news in our review!

Neighborhood - Britechester

Sims will be able to decide to live in the university district of Britechester, where they will find the two famous universities: the classic Britechester and the more modern one, Foxbury. Between the two, it is born Gibbs Hill, the hub of Sim social life!

Dormitories

Are back dorms! Going to college is expensive and young adults cannot be expected to afford to buy a house. The solution? The university dorms! Cheaper than a house, but i will think about it a lot student debts to snatch from your wallet those few simoleons that you managed to save. Yes, student debts! Because there's no other way to make college life more realistic, huh?

What's new in Sim life

Skills and activities

Our Sims will be able to learn new skills such as "Robotica"And"Research and Debate". In their new school journey, they will be able to try their hand at a variety of activities, including robots competitions (some reminiscent of the Plumbots from The Sims 3: Into The Future), juice pong and archival research. They will also be able to join various organizations on campus that are involved in art, robotics or debate.

There is also an activity for the older Sims, always present in the other chapters and that in The Sims 4 has been slow to arrive: the fiki fiki in the shower.

Degrees

Sims will be able to undertake different degree courses, from fine arts to psychology, from physics to… evil? Yes, exactly! Among the various "normal" degree courses, the course in wickedness appears! Certify your wickedness with courses such as "Crimes?" and "How to understand the subordinates"!

Degree programs will not only stress your Sim and force them into the house with their head bent over their books, they will give you access to higher levels of careers and higher wages. With only 12 credits you can improve the quality of your life! 12 grueling credits, but it will be worth it.

There are various ways of approaching the university ...

Career

The University Life expansion introduces new careers: law, education and engineering. The law career will allow you to choose whether to become a lawyer or a judge; education can make you a teacher or administrator; by pursuing a career as an engineer you will be able to choose between computer engineering and mechanical engineering.

These new careers went there, increase the realism of the game world and the opportunities, because I know that all the teachers out there, who play The Sims 4, were looking forward to having a virtual class of rowdy pupils.

Create A Sim Mode

Create a Sim through a story

The Sims 4: University Life Review (PC) | The opinion of an avid Simmer

When the Sim is created, we will be faced with a choice: we can create a Sim through a story. What is it about? It's very simple: we'll answer some simple questions about your Sim's life and character. A Sim will be created with aspirations, traits, skills and career based on the answers we have given. In this way you do not risk creating Sims all clones of each other because you become attached to certain traits and are afraid of changing.

Clothing

To all fans ofschoolgirl outfit: your wishes have been granted.

Sims will be able to wear new clothes with an old school vibe, such as very wide pants, a sweatshirt and a hat, or a top with an open belly and a denim skirt. The novelties in this category are mainly concentrated in everyday clothes, but I would have preferred to see a little more in the other categories as well.

means of transport

Finally, after all these years, the means of transport have arrived! Of course, don't expect luxury motorcycles or cars like in The Sims 3. For now, we have to settle for one 70s bicycle, but it's always better than nothing right? This brand new vehicle (more or less) will give us the possibility to move everywhere in an ecological way.

Conclusions

The Sims is one of the sagas, between Resident Evil and Dungeons & Dragons Online, that has always accompanied me. What's up? Strange combination? Hey, every now and then I also take a break from hordes of zombies and sahuagin who want to sacrifice me to the Devourer. And I take the break playing maniacally to The Sims. Legacy Challenge, anyone?

The Sims 4: University Life that's what it took in a saga that started off on the wrong foot and that, over the years, has come up with some very questionable expansions (the “My First Animal” stuff pack is definitely the one less appreciated by the community). This expansion, on the other hand, is passed with flying colors, especially due to the arrival of a means of transport (the bicycle), new and realistic careers and endless courses for students, with the inevitable mold of the series that also gives life to Evil course. An excellent expansion then, another tile on the path of Maxis' redemption (I will never forgive you the state in which you initially released the game and all the features less than The Sims 3, but surely with this expansion you have me sweetened!).
