Sony has just released on PS4 an app that allows the remote play of the PS5, thus allowing the owners of both consoles to access the next-gen in platform streaming from the previous generation.
The app PS5 Remote Play appeared in the dashboards of some PS4 users today, and would therefore allow the remote play of the titles available on PS5, as well as the streaming of applications and interfaces of the next-gen console.
The app doesn't seem to be working for the moment, probably because we're still in the period of pre-launch of the new Sony machine. Furthermore, not all users find the application on their console as its release is taking place in stages and silently. Some users may already have the dashboard updated with the new app and haven't noticed it yet, while others, like our entire editorial team, still don't see anything new. Probably this PS5 Remote Play should allow you to play the PlayStation 5 exclusive titles also through the gamepad DualShock 4, which, we recall, can be used on the new console but is not compatible with any specific title for PlayStation 5. However, we cannot be sure about this strange form of compatibility, given that, as already mentioned, the app still does not show the its functioning.

We are updating the PS4 Remote Play feature. Now, in addition to being able to access the PS4 from a PC or mobile device, the PS4 can also access other consoles via the Remote Play function, directly on the TV. This includes the ability to connect to the PS5 and stream a PS5 game to the PS4 so you can play. Additionally, Remote Play will add support for up to three additional users to join the Remote Play session, which allows users to enjoy local multiplayer games via Remote Play.
